Feed the wolf - gratefulness

I guess you all know this story - attributed to the Cherokee people:

One evening, an elderly Cherokee brave told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, ‘My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other wolf is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.’
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked, ‘Grandpa, which wolf wins?’
The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one that you feed.’

Lately, I've been spending a lot of time trying to figure out why my wolf has been getting so stressed and irritable.
On a whim, I decided to renew the practice of writing a gratefulness list each morning. Each morning, before I even check my phone (!), I write down between 5 and 6 things I'm grateful for.  Miracle or not, in the past days I've been feeling much much better than I have for long while.
The wolf is calmer now. At least for now, as I'm feeding her with good thoughts, and focusing on all that is good in my life, and thankfully, there is so much!
1. My kind, caring husband.
2. My kids who are both doing really well.
3. Grey's anatomy is back on TV!
4. I've gotten most of my to-do list done!
5. I've started a Bullet Journal which is fun to do - a little artsy.
6. I'm writing my blog on Monday, on schedule!
Yay, I'm the wolf warrior woman!
